Hi, I'm a bit confused as to the fees- it's .20p no matter what yeah? this means that by the time i sell my range of small items for 99p, plus 51p postage....ebay will then take 9p, postage is 51p, the product cost .36p, and paypal take .20p, enlelope is 5p....tape, invoice .4p- in the end i make about 26p.....minus fuel and time it takes...that leaves me on about...um, nothing! IS THERE ANY WAY OF REDUCING THESE FEES, like business accounts, or... please help me as my turnover looks high, but i'm working at a loss on alot of items due to competition but i have no choice and i am riding through it, taking the profit from other lines to fill the negative for the smaller lines. if the fees were reduced i would still be making a small profit on them , and maintaining the high feedback score I am aiming for.
Thanks.

Hi,,
You Nearly have it right,,, You Have forgotten that-- 'Paypal' also TAKE OFF YOU 3.4% -- of the sale price if you sell to someone in the UK...-BUT- 3.9% if you sell to someone outside of the UK.. They are sons of B******* aren't they...
I am not sure about your question re- business accounts but maybe the Papal Moderator 'Lucy' who picked up on my very first question will get back to you on that one...
But who knows..
I reckon a new system entirely needs to be set up... It does not feel right that we 'HAVE TO USE PAYPAL' to sell on ebay..
Like I have said in my other post's ( take a look) there is a bit of a monopoly going on here.......

Hi, I'm new on here so please be gentle. I have been selling and buying on ebay since 2002 but the charges they charge now are daylight robbery. For instance this week I sold four small items and not one of those items went over £15 including the postage. Out of the £54.99 that I made they slammed me with their final charges £16.95??? Ebay your becoming greedy???

Hi Hab.. you must be a little guy like me.......They ignore us for ages!!! They will get round at some point and answer you But they are hoping that a forum member will do it for FREE so they can keep a little bit more ££s...
I expect there is a way, but off hand I do not know,,But If you add 30p for each item and 3.4% for UK sales and 3.9% for all other sales, of the total amount (which includes the P&P) that has gone through their hands you will get the amount that Paypal has filched into their coffers......

Hi..
I am rubbish at maths but I got you at making 25p and if you factor in the 34% of your sale that goes to paypal,, it brings you down to 23.5p... plus of course your fuel and time queuing at the Post office...
What are we doing.????

I charge 1:00 pound (GB) a time for a service. Does that mean I lose 23.4 pence for every transaction? eg 23.4%?
Come on paypal, you don't need to add 20pence for small transactions...
