I bought a bluetooth speaker weighing more than 20lb, the seller sent me an empty envelope, I opened a complaint to paypal, the seller only provided tracking numbers but did not provide any other information. The seller does not have any other information to prove the item sent to me. Paypal again charged me with losing money. It's disappointing that paypal doesn't work responsibly, now I don't know what to do anymore, hope everyone can help me, I lost $870, really sad, I joined paypal for more than 10 years, this is the first time First time I was scammed by a seller and paypal won the lawsuit against the scammer

A bit of actual information would help if you want advice?
Which dispute type did you open?
Was it closed when seller provided tracking?
Did you escalate it to a claim?
Did paypal make any decision on the claim?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Paypal automatically escalates the complaint to the item not being as described, the seller does not provide any information until paypal decides I cannot get a refund, Now I can't do anything but accept losing money to the scammer, paypal helped him scam me. I am very sad.

Paypal doesn't automatically escalate a dispute to a claim. If you don't do that yourself within 20 days after opening it then it auto-closes.
However can't advise further as you still haven't actually said in sequence everything that happened.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hello @huakhuong
welcome back and thank you for writing in the PayPal Community!
I am sorry to know about the issue with your purchase. Usually, the decision made towards the claim is final, but it can be appealed if there's any new information to support your claim. I recommend you to request an appeal of the outcome by contacting the PayPal support team and you can appeal it within 10 days of the case closure.
Thanks for the help here @kernowlass!
Hope this information helps,
Bindu

Thank you for helping me, I contacted paypal support team but he called me and said I violated paypal's policy so now he can't help me. I've been with paypal for more than 10 years and this is my first time. I was scammed but I can't get my money back, so disappointed with paypal, they work like robots without considering any information, the community should learn my lesson, don't be too trusting when transacting through paypal, If you encounter a scam, PayPal will not protect you.

I was scammed by the seller and delivered an empty envelope. I took a photo of the empty envelope and sent it to paypal, and attached a video link recorded at the time of delivery. There was no shipper delivering the goods, but paypal taffed it back. did not agree to return my money but instead helped the scammers take the money, so disappointed with paypal

If they are saying you violated their policy then did you send the payment using the friends/family option?
