Uber BV Payments What are they?!

I've had a payment taken today for Uber BV. I've never used Uber so i have No idea what this is for. I raised a dispute but its been closed straight away stating it's not an unauthorised transaction. When i looked further it appears this is the 4th payment!! Doea anyone have any idea what Uber BV, what I'm paying for and who i need to speak to? TIA

No idea how to solve this for myself either. I have had 10 but I don't receive notification emails so I wasn't aware until I logged not pay pal which I don't use often.

it’s a subscription for uber one. on my app i didn’t see an option to cancel myself so i contacted support and they did it.

This solved my issue. Uber One is not clearly visible once activated (also the activations itself has been probably very unaware). Thank you @Kantrëlax

HOW DARE YOU PAYPAL???? SO MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND YOU DARE SAY IT WAS AUTHORIZED???? I HAD OVER 500 EUROS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT!!!! HAVE THE DECENCY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT!!!! REIMBURSE ME NOW!!!!!!

Its Uber Eats. Some people forget they ordered something and others forget to cancel their free subscription to Uber One etc. then the charge hits a month later as an automatic renewal subscription.

I had the same. Uber BV was listed as automatic payment (I didnt do it) and it charged me around 30 euros few days ago. I did not buy anything, so clearly was not me! Cancelled the automatic payment, removed my card and payment information from Paypal and cancelled my bank card. Tried to flag payment as not authorized but almost immediately Paypal automatically closed the case and responded that payment was authorized. What can I do with Paypal to contact somebody? Case cannot be reopened. Paypal is so bad.

It has happened to hundreds of PayPal customers and is still ongoing. I've had 19 transactions (small amounts) starting from Nov23 to May24... PayPal closes your dispute without any notification within 24hrs stating "Thank you for reporting this case. After our review, we found that certain transactions weren't unauthorised and hence weren't eligible for Buyer Protection". You cannot raise a dispute again for the same transactions or escalate further... As you can see from the forum page 438 people had this problem (reported). This fraudulent activity is still ongoing and affecting hundreds of PayPal customers. PayPal had a data breach 2022 and thousands of customers account information was accessed. Paypal needs to address this issue and reimburse all parties affected... We use PayPal as it is meant to be secure!!
