Paypal's holds on verified funds is illegal. Join the class action law suit to make them stop!

Paypal's policies of with-holding verified funds has absolutely no statutory, logical, or ethical basis as grounds to hold and keep your money from you against your will and without your permission. In fact, so outrageous and corrupt is the practice of  these"forced interest free loans," the practice is literally against the law. Paypal must be forced to play by the rules, and obey the laws like every one else! Even if that means we as the customers it swindles on a regular basis must take matters into our own hands, and do so in the form of a class action lawsuit for all interest and damages Paypal has caused our lives and finances by it's unethical and illegal practice of with-holding access to our verified funds!

     To that end, I am asking the community of those whom have suffered this intolerable acts of corporate greed by Paypal, and suffered Paypal unlawful with-holding of your verified funds for any period of time, and for whatever made-up excuse they gave you, to please contact me at about the possibilities of forming a class of victims willing to bring the class action law suit so clearly required to ensure Paypal plays by the rules like the rest of us do! 

      If you don't believe their policy to be not only harmful to people who need and deserve the funds we earned without being forced to loan it interest free to a billion dollar company first, just ask yourself the following: What do you think would happen to you, if you took some ones money without their permission? You'd expect to go to jail, and face criminal charges for your illegal behavior, right? Well, Paypal, in all of it's corporate ego, has come to believe itself above the laws of this country. The proof of this, is the policy and practice of with-holding verified funds from it's customers, in violation of criminal statutes, banking laws, and all other laws Paypal wrongfully thinks do not apply to it (EVEN THOUGH IT IS A MONEY LENDER OFFERING CREDIT AND CREDIT CARDS, AND DEALS IN AND WITH DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS!)! We have rights as consumers under the banking laws, laws that govern financial companies, as well as the Fair Credit Reporting Act as Paypal never gives a legally recognized reason for wrongfully with-holding and converting for it's own uses your money via the with-holding policies! We do not need to stand for this! Join me in punishing Paypal by hurting it, the way it has hurt us... In the pocket book! Let's sue for our interest, and to get Paypal to stgop stealing our verified funds once and for all!

I look forward to hearing your stories about how you ewere harmed by Paypal unlawfully with-holding funds you earned and needed immediately,! We will show this greedy corporate egomaniac that even a billion dollar company must obey the laws of this country, and may not make gifts unto itself in the form of interest free forced loans from other peoples moneys, and that in this country justice is not determined by the size of your bank account but the merit of your actions and treatment of your fellow citizens!

PayPal after repeated limits placed on my account locked me out gave notice of 180 days keeping my money already cleared and I can't pay my bills nor complete contracts the deposits paid and cleared.

after four years of being with this branch they have done the same , i have asked on numerous occasions why . they keep telling me to check the policies , i can find nothing i did wrong especially as iv only brought a few items for myself , i also called their staff and she,staff could find nothing against their policy also , 

im not sure what i can do as they have over three thousand pounds of my money i put in to set up a business ebay shop , and now im in financial hardship this is now over four months they have done this , i feel discriminated against ,as maybe this is due to racial profiling which has happened to me before  im a law abiding care worker that looks after  adults and children with special needs so im not a gangster or a bad person 

im in belgium , so not sure what to do ,,

Me too, I to have been lied to and misdirected. Some cases customer service Assistance won't answer your call.

This thread is nearly 5 years old, others similar threads are also old.

The reason? No one does anything because Paypal are legally allowed to hold funds for 180 days if you have been banned to cover any buyer disputes opened in that time frame.

You agreed to the user agreement when you opened your Paypal account and the hold on funds etc is in that agreement.

As long as you have not violated their acceptable use policy you should get the funds back at 180 days as long as the account is in your legal name etc.

@kernowlass Pretty clear the clown who keeps trying to say hey it's fine that Paypal is stealing from its customers by holding funds for an excessive period.

They give ways to move the process along, and then do not hold to them. I get holding the funds until the products are delivered and accepted. Then released a couple of days later. That process is becoming more and more rarely true.

Having been on Paypal for over 24 years now. I am about to tell them to take a flying leap. Minimal use in the future and only if I have to. Paypal is going the way of Faceplant. Woke to the max and crooked as well.

The only folks that get their funds held for a significant time are the clowns that have broken paypal rules and got their accounts permanently banned. Or those that come on here and whinge when Paypal clearly states what and when they will hold in their user agreement that you agreed to when you opened your paypal account so it cannot be illegal OR stealing. 

As for the 21 day hold mainly for new sellers then every seller goes through that, does not last long before funds are instant. Even whilst on hold its rare you wait 21 days. I have been through it myself as a seller, didn't bother me one bit, what's a 3 week (max) wait? Also if you don't like it then don't use Paypal, plenty of other payment processors out there. I just post the facts, if you don't like them then move on. 

Plenty of things I don't like about Paypal that you would agree with me about, but defending them for things that are LEGAL causes you to name call, how odd.

Only problem with that is ..."Broke PayPal Rules means whatever they say it means according to the terms of service agreement ..."The decision on whether a policy has been violated is at the sole discretion of PayPal..." So basically, they decide unilaterally that you broke policy, and keep your money. But even more insidious was their policy of being able to grant themselves $2500 of your money if they decide you spread "misinformation" without defining misinformation, which again no doubt is at THEIR sole discretion. So THEY get to decide what is misinformation and keep your money. I'm decoupling from every source that engages in censorship. The solution for me a long time ago was to delete my PayPal account (among others) and use a more freedom friendly app and stop giving my money to organizations which support "wokeness".
