It appears that my wife’s PayPal account has been hacked. What do we do? I can’t seem to figure out how to get help from PayPal.

Hello @Aweilone

Thanks for joining the PayPal Community!

I'm sorry to hear your wife's PayPal account has been hacked. If she is able to log into her account, please have her reset her password by following the instructions on our Help Center here: How do I change my password and security questions? She can file a dispute through the Resolution Center if she has any unauthorized transactions. If she's unable to log into her PayPal account, please have her reach out to Customer Support by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of our website. She can also reach Customer Support on X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook

I noticed that you posted earlier today regarding what sounds like a fraudulent invoice. If someone had automatically sent her a fraudulent invoice, PayPal may have canceled it to try to prevent any unauthorized activity. However, if the invoice is still in her account, you can learn how to report it in this article.

I hope this information helps and she's able to gain control of her account soon!
