In a dispute with this company currently too.  I bought a phone screen protector from them, It arrived damaged, so I asked for a refund.  They only offered 30% of what the item costs.  I could understand them not refunding the shipping cost, but why only refund 30% of what the item cost???  I should get 100% of the item cost, plus taxes.  This company is definitely scamming customers!!

Chinese Web Sites or on Social Media ads easy to spot (once you know the below signs) so buyer beware.

The best thing is to not buy from them in the first place, to recognise them -

1. No return address on the returns policy. The site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) but they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost often more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number. if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. Rarely company address information.
4. Great pictures of items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.
5. Fake reviews.
6. Google and you can often see previous company names as they change them once enough claims roll in and Paypal stop them using their services and start over.
7. Send fake tracking numbers to win item non receipt of item claims.

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can open a dispute in the Resolution Centre of your PayPal account within 180 days of payment if:
•You don’t receive the item OR service
•You receive an item but it’s significantly different than the description or you receive a totally different product.

By opening a dispute, you can communicate directly with your seller to work out a problem transaction.

If you reach an agreement with the seller you can close the dispute. If you're still not happy with the result, you can escalate the dispute into a claim. Paypal will review the claim and decide on reimbursement.

These steps apply to Personal accounts. If you have a Business account, please log in to see the steps that apply to you.

To open a dispute:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click on the transaction and use the resolve a problem option at the bottom of that details page.

Note:
•Generally buyers must wait at least 7 days from the date of payment to escalate a dispute for an item not received
•Where an item has not been received, please ensure you have given the seller enough time before opening a dispute

Do not close the dispute until you have a refund or your item.
If a seller states that they can't refund until you have closed the dispute don't believe them.
Escalate the dispute to a claim within 20 days (before it times out), if you need Paypal to get involved.

If you lose because the seller provides a fake tracking number then post back here for more advice.

If the item arrives and its not what you ordered / not as described then make sure you change the dispute quickly from non receipt. If the dispute times out before you can change it then contact customer services to open a second dispute for the new reason.
If that does not work then if you funded your paypal payment via a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will issue a chargeback.

I’ve just started a claim. They refuse to give return address and try delaying tactics. Difficult as item was received and rubbish! I listed it as a defective item as it was difficult to choose an option. They are not adhering to the 2015 Consumer Act and definitely scammers!

Hey @ Cucumber57,

Thank you for visiting our community help forum!

I see you're looking to get a refund for your purchase. If a payment was paid by bank, a payment to your seller completes instantly because we fund this on customer's behalf and wait for a bank transaction to clear. If your bank declines your transfer or the transfer is reversed due to technical reasons, we will try to retrieve the money a second time. If we're unable to get the payment, your PayPal balance will go negative. It’s not possible to close an account with a balance, an account limitation, or other unresolved issues.

If there's any issue with the purchase, our purchase protection policy covers the payment and helps you to get refund if certain requirements are met. If you sent the payment as goods and services, you can report the issue towards the transaction in the resolution center of your PayPal account. Here's how to open a dispute from the web:

Go to the Resolution Center and click Report a Problem.
Select the payment and click Continue.
Select the option that best describes the issue you're facing and click Continue.

You have 20 days from the date you opened the dispute to resolve it with your seller. If your seller isn't responding or you can't come to a resolution, you can escalate the dispute to a claim. If you escalate your dispute, PayPal will review it and decide the outcome. You can always check the status of your dispute at any time in the Resolution Center. You can also reach out to our team through the available contact options at the bottom of PayPal page for any additional assistance.

I hope this information helps you,

Bindu

Rubbish!! As long as the seller provides a return address then PayPal ignore the complaint! I was given an address in China to return the goods to. Postage would have cost over £20 and they would not refund postage. It's a complete scam and PayPal should shut them down. There is no customer protection in this instance!!

Yes course its a scam, most ads and websites on Social Media are China companies selling tat.

You really think you will get quality goods for the low prices they charge?

However Paypal would not be able to check every individual seller / merchant / company in over 200 countries worldwide that adds paypal to their website to accept payments.

So they give some buyer and some seller protection. However that protection can never be a 100% coverall so you need to read it so you can risk assess your transactions.

They do stop bad companies from using Paypal when enough claims start rolling in.
However as they are in China (mostly) then its easy for them to just start over with a new name, so stopping them does not really do anything.

Just look at how many times some of these companies have changed their company names !!!

Also if you read up on paypals buyer protection policy you will see that in the event of an item not received dispute paypal can only help you get a refund if you return the items back to the seller first. So if you buy internationally (you need to check contact info of the seller on the website) then the return costs will be high.

Do your research before you pay you money to these companies.

Me too !! I am in this situation with Veawq Ltd now . The bras were way too small - supposed to be XL !!! Horrible quality too with rough stitching. I can have a refund if I provide full return delivery tracking information which means paying more than I have already paid to ship the awful bras back to China and paying USA customs duty of 20/30 % of the item value. There is nothing else I can do but throw them in the bin as they are useless to me . It says the case will close 11 dec but China delivery is over 15 days anyway so not enough time to return unless I pay £44 by dhl . Something needs to be done to stop this scam company. I bought products before off Facebook they were fine but this is just sheer tat and not as described 😡

I completed a purchase by them and then received a message that I still had items in my cart and needed to complete the transaction.  I did and paid twice for the items which were sent, but under the pretense of a legitimate company.  I got both shipments, but now cannot find a way to return the shipment I don't need.  Guess I won't fall for this again...
