Has anyone else been having issues with being charged for 'auto' payments that weren't authorized?

For the second time in approximately a month, I was billed/charged for something I did not authorize.  I filed a claim with the CA AG and the BBB and the way I see it, if there is no revision to the way PayPal is going to improve their security and oversite, looks like a class action lawsuit to me.

Hello @IamRedrum,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I’m sorry to hear there’s an unauthorized transaction and I know this can be frustrating. I can see it is very important to get this taken care of. Before we progress further, please check to see if this is an unrecognized billing agreement payment. If yes, here’s some information on how to locate your preapproved payment agreements and how to cancel a preapproved payment agreement here in this link

Once you cancel the billing agreement that you're referring to, report it as unauthorized, please make sure you update your password & security questions, learn about secure password tips here and report any unauthorized activity to us by following the steps shared in the below mentioned help center articles.

Here's how to report potential fraud.

Here's how to report a billing issue.

I hope this information helps,

Ayesha
