Why does the date keep changing for resolution on disputes?

Hi,
I opened two cases with PayPal around 24th Feb this year. I provided all information, including detailed replies from the shipping couriers (Royal Mail for one, Evri for the other). Having not received either parcel and with both RM and Evri confirming as lost (I submitted this info), I understand that the seller (Shein in both cases) have the right to respond. They have done, in both cases, quickly, and provided Paypal with tracking info, exactly like I did.
Initially it showed that I'd have a resolution in both cases around 6th March. However, since then, I have had 4 different dates! It keeps getting extended yet no further info is requested from either side. Last end date was 23rd March but now it has been moved yet again to 28th.
I have no idea when or if I will ever get my money back but could someone please explain the process as to why the date keeps being moved, please? And if anyone else has had this, and if so, how long can I expect to wait? 😞
Thanks in advance.

To allow delivery to hopefully occur soon. As long as they haven’t close case against you yet, you still can win case.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

In exactly the same boat, opened a claim on 16th May, the seller responded on the 19th with tracking info that shows the parcel was RTS, I've provided proof of this as well as proof of coms where the seller has said they have no intention of refunding me because I have opened the dispute, but the case just sits at "we are reviewing" with the resolution date forever moving further away.
If I had paid with CC I would definitely be doing a charge back at this point but it was via PayPal credit so I'm not sure what options I have at the moment.

Hello @RD2K
Welcome to the Community Help Forum and thanks for your post here!
I understand your concern about the resolution time frame. Disputes usually gets resolved in 14 days but some may take 30 days or longer depending on how quickly both seller and buyer responds to the enquiries and whether or not PayPal need more information. I recommend you to reach PayPal Support team to check this further. You can find the contact options by clicking the 'Contact us' at the bottom of PayPal page. Support is also available through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
Best wishes,
Bindu
