I made no such request.  Tried to report to Paypal and they said ...

"We’re sorry, you can’t file a case on this type of transaction. Please refer to our User Agreement for more details."

Called the number and just new this was a scam.  Some foreign sounding dude asked me to press the Windows Key and letter "R" together to run some command.

Nope...not gonna do that.  Why wasn't Paypal helpful at all?  What should I do next?

We got it too. The trick is to go to the website- NOT the app. @Paypal, could you please put this list on your app features to add? Thank you!!

I had this happen to me as well today.  Canceled the request, and removed my payment information from the site to be safe.

Not sure how PayPal let them send this request in the first place.

Just received the same email.  Contacted PayPal by phone and they said to just leave the transaction alone and not click anything.  Not sure why but I will check back on it.  Also they had me forward the email I received to phishing @ paypal . com.

Thank you everyone for reporting this. Created a custom statement today (Mar 18) and saw an "UNPAID" status invoice in the statement dated Mar 11. The invoice doesn't appear in Activity or Recent Activity, so I'm guessing the PayPal or someone canceled the invoice automatically for me. Also found the Mar 11 email with the subject "Invoice from First Home Service (1143)" and made sure to delete it immediately. The name associated with the invoice is FAIYAZ [Removed]. ..

Had the exact same issue today. I did like others and canceled the invoice. My bigger concern is if this person hits enough people they may finally take advantage of someone. I think if the same transaction is hitting a lot of people the Paypal Fraud department should get involved and take action.

Thank you for this help. Good to know I was not the only one who got this and freaked out. I keep all of my accounts on a tight watch, and this was unpleasant to see, for sure.

I was able to cancel as well but I'm pretty **bleep** that I am not able to dispute it. Trying to reach out to Paypal was useless as none of their solutions were helpful. I might as well cancel my entire paypal account.
