Hi, I was scammed buying something from Facebook marketplace, with the scammer admitting to the scam and then proceeding to block me. Payment was done through PayPal, I opened up a case and it was closed and denied almost immediately for some reason. I have screenshots of the messages with the scammer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you paid using goods/services then you should have buyer protection.

if you opened a dispute for non receipt of item then did you escalate to a claim or which dispute did you open?

It all makes sense now, paid using friends and family so I’m guessing I’m out of luck? Lesson learned the hard way I guess. Thanks anyway.
