Hi
I met a lady on a senior dating site.
We were texting for a few days it was problematic due to her old phone she said.
She needed a new phone and could I help by lending her £100. To keep things moving between us I sent her £100 via paypal to her brother.
She said she was using her brothers account because she had lost her bank card and was waiting for the new one to arrive.
After she purchased the phone nothing was any different. Sill problematic texting.
Leading on from there the conversation changed to the fact that she would be going to the USA taking her mother for a kidney tranplant the following week.
She apparently went to the USA once there asked could I help with their living expences with ammount of £400
I fell for it again and sent the £400 to a different email address which she said was her Aunts husband who they were staying with whilst in the usa.
Moving on again the kidney transplant was going to happen about a week after they had arrived.
They were told that her mother would need some medication before the op which would cost £300 and so she asked me again could I send the money.
After a lot of questioning I sent the money again to her Aunts husband,
Moving on to post kidney tranplant they were told that her mother would need more medication to stop her body rejecting the new kidney.
£2000 was the figure for the medication. After a lot of questioning again I sent the money to her Aunts husband, thinking I was actually helping to save her mothers life.
After this and her mother was released from hospital she was going to fly back to the uk and to come and live with me and eventually pay all the money back.
Two days later she shows me the flight information which looked ok. When she arrives at the airport they say she has to pay £150 baggage and handling fees, so once again she cones to me and I send £200 to give some extra money just in case.
So the time comes to go to the airport, she gets a taxi for the 1 hour journey to the airport , she would text me during flight which was at 6-15pm
USA time.
Received no texts during flight. I was to pick her up from Gatwick Airport at 8.00AM . I gt up at 6pm to get ready to go to gatwick to pick her up.
6-45 I get a text saying she had been in an accident at was at an emergency ward, this was from a nurse at the hospital. Tried to call back for more information no answer.
After some investigation on Google it looked like she had been taken to a hospital some 800 miles from where she would have been.
The next day 2 pics pop up on Whats App showing her injuries which didnt look new. Texting then started again and says the taxi which she was in was hit by a car that came out of nowhere. Moving on again she is now asking for £650 to rebook her flight that she lost due to accident and a further £80 for food till the flight, which she wont be getting either of.
Question. Is there anything I can do about this, she or whoever has had £3000 from me via paypal
Thanks for reading

How did you send the funds, did you use goods/services OR friends/family.
Also how did you ''fund'' your paypal payments?
