BRIEF OVERVIEW - PAYPAL ALWAYS FAVOURS THE SCAMMING BUYER AND NO AMOUNT OF PROOFS AND EVIDENCES PROVIDED BY SELLER IS ENOUGH. Normally when a digital item (Digital Jpg photo) listed in digital prints is paid for then etsy sends buyer a Download link which carries the image or a Pdf. In my case i had a pdf carrying link to my google Drive and buyer must email to request access to my drive to download the image.. This particular scamming buyer (60 year old eccentric women from Canada) had religious issues about me selling digitally enhanced photo of a particular indian saint (shri mataji nirmala devi) .. She says that she bought the digital item thinking that it's a physical one and asked me to refund. I said digital items are non refundable and i can't go against etsy's policies and it's clearly mentioned that it's a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD". She then opened paypal case of "ITEM NOT RECEIVED" not receiving the product, I sent proofs from my end (even though she didn't email me to ask access for google Drive to download photo from, it cud be intentionally to trap me or due to digital illiteracy) I added her email in granting her access to google drive and sent screen shot to paypal. Scheming buyer then changed her reason to "Item not as described". I them gave etsy listing link (again) which carried digital photo details (format, resolution) and also google drive photo link to paypal to see for themselves if "Item is as described". ALL THIS AND PAYPAL STILL TOOK DECISION IN FRAUD BUYERS FAVOUR.. Who kept on changing disputes reason without any logic and solid evidence and even gave screenshot of pdf carring google drive link (which is a proof enough that she received the item) . Even the screenshot of etsy customer support statement that seller did describe the digital item correctly and can't be penalised for buyers mistake for confusing it as physical product. I CLOSED MY SHOP ON ETSY and will never sell Digital Products through Paypal. Ask Paypal what they deem is "Valid proof of Delievery for Digital Item" As they said my Proof of Delievery was Invalid. It will continue to Happen. I had provided All communication from etsy and with buyer but See what Happened.. NO .

Paypal offers 'some' buyer and 'some' seller protection so that protection is never a 100% cover for everything, so you need to read up on Paypals seller protection policy and then risk assess your transactions.
If you are going to sell high risk digital / virtual items then yes you will get the occasional chargeback and should configure that into your business plan.
Someone will always lose a dispute/chargeback and on here buyers say that sellers are always favoured and sellers say that the buyer is always favoured, Paypal are the middleman and can't give you all 100% protection.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
