My account got hacked, my balance is gone and reacquiring it doesn't seem possible.

So around 5 pm GMT+1 today, I got a PayPal notification saying that 33.10$ (my entire balance) has been sent to some account named "Guillermo [Removed]". I instantly went to change my password and enable authentification, I reported the transaction as unauthorized, then I messaged the account, he responded saying the same thing happened to him, he doesn't know why he got the money, and why his entire balance (with my money included) has been sent to another account named "Joseph [Removed]", he sent me proof, and he has also reported the transaction. 

I went to check in on the case I filed and found that it was closed because apparently, they found that "certain transactions weren't unauthorized and hence couldn't be covered by PayPal Purchase Protection".

Guillermo has yet to respond about the status of his case, and even if it was resolved and he got his money back, I'm not sure if he's gonna send me my money back, or how he would be forced to give it back if he refuses.

It's great to hear that you've already taken security measures by updating your Password and enabling authentication. No need to worry! In this case, your best option would be reaching our team by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page or message us through our Twitter(@AskPayPal) and Facebook page to get a second look on the outcome of the case.
