Joyui return scam

Hello all, I've purchased an item from Joyui Ltd. and it arrived defective. It was also very different from the description. I opened a claim through paypal and the seller is asking me to return the item to China in order to get a refund. The expedition costs more than the item. Joyui is apparently a serial scammer, who has scammed at least 99 people who purchased on PayPal and had the same issue according to PayPal community ( https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Security-and-Fraud/Joyui-Co-Ltd/td-p/2720596 ). Can paypal help somehow? Can they issue a refund without the need to pay for the return shipment, OR have Joyui pay for the shipment? I am not eligible for Free refund on Us since I don't live in the U.S.

In the event of a dispute you choose your seller and not Paypal so you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you go ahead and buy from that seller / country.

Paypal state this >>
IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.

Although they will compensate you for some of the cost if you have activated this at some point before you made that transaction.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
