I returned item with tracking and signature confirmation, PayPal sided with the seller.

I purchased an item from Adorama on DEcember 4th and returned it December 9th for not likeing the laptop, I returned it brand new.

I used the UPS label they sent to me, and it had tracking and signature confirmation that it arrived, we are now at the end of January, and PayPal sided with Adorama for some reason.

I have sufficient proof and the name of the person who signed for the item, but PayPal is siding with the merchant.

What are my next steps here? They debited my account the entire price of the item which is ALOT. I opened a claim with Synchrony Bank since I'm not able to respond or re-open a claim on the original transaction anymore. But I feel like I can do a lot more to get this matter addressed faster.

Hello @normancook

Welcome! Thanks for reaching out via the PayPal Community. I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with a recent dispute. If you've opened a dispute with your funding source, unfortunately the case is now out of PayPal's reach. I would recommend following up with Synchrony Bank to see if they need any other information from you.

My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused,

I don't understand how Buyer Protection did not "protect" the "buyer". It's been 4 months, and I'm still out $2100!!!! I've provided a significant amount of proof, tracking number, proof of deliverly, signature confirmation, UPS drop off label.

And you sided with Adorama for some reason.
