I got an email saying I changed my email and another saying I changed my phone now I can't log in

My daughter got an email saying that she added a new email address.  It gave the address but it isn't hers.   Then she got an email stating she changed her phone number.  It gave the new phone number but it wasn't hers.   She also got a text with a link for more paypal information and a link to download the app.   She never requested or changed anything.   Now she cannot log in.   When we go to the login page it asks for 3 possible email address' and I typed in the one they sent in the email and it says there is an account but they cannot verify it.    She cannot log in anywhere because it says there is no valid account.   So I logged in with mine to just try to find answers for her.  Does anyone know how she can get her account back?  Or just make sure its shut down so she doesn't have mysterious charges?

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you're running into some issues on your daughter's account with unauthorized activity. Normally, if you still had access to your account, you could report this kind of activity through our Resolution Center. Since it sounds like you're unable to gain access to the account, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams by clicking "Contact" at the bottom of any PayPal page. They're also available through Twitter DM and Facebook PM.
