I can't resend a product I'm in dispute over but the status is "awaiting resend".

Hi,
I recently bought a product that was a complete scam. I wanted my money back and they wouldn't give me so I contacted Paypal. Now the status of the dispute is that they agreed to give me a full refund if I send the product back. But the product has physically extended itself to about 20 times its original size and cannot be shortened back (that's one of my problems with it!). Sending it back to China will cost me more than the refund, but the status still remains - they are waiting for me to ship it. And my only option for writing that I can't do that came with a box that must be filled asking when I shipped the product. So I filled it and wrote in the comment that the product cannot be shipped, and now (becuase I filled the box) the status has changed and they are waiting from the other company to confirm that the product was shipped back for them to give me my refund.
What do I do?

In the event of a dispute you choose your seller and not Paypal so you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you go ahead and buy from that seller / country.
Paypal state this >>
IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.
You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.
Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
