How do I progress a case in the Resolution Centre? Seller is not responding.

I'm new to problems with PayPal, and I'm finding the Resolution Centre very confusing. I've opened a case, and sent the vendor a message. I've also sent them a message outside of PayPal, from my email. No response, and the message I sent outside of paypal has now been returned as undeliverable as the Host address seems to have been taken down. How do I progress this with PayPal? The screen says it is waiting for a response from the seller, but I don't think we're going to get one.
There is a scary message at the bottom that says "This case will be auto-closed if it isn't resolved by 4 May 2022 at 20:43:38 BST". Why would they close a case that ISN'T resolved? How to I stop it from closing, and move to the next step?
thanks for your help

They normally give you a date for the seller to respond, if they don't do so then you should have the chance to escalate to a claim before the dispute times out.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. Still no response from the seller, and I can't see a date by which one must be received. Please can you tell me how to escalate this to a claim?
thanks
