Hello @Angelita4,
Thanks for joining the PayPal Community!
I'm sorry to hear about the concern your recent email has caused. If you receive a Goods & Services payment, you will be charged an automatic fee which enables your Seller Protection. However, you will never be asked to pay a fee to enable your ability to receive payments. I recommend referring to our Help Center to learn more about common scams and how to spot fake PayPal emails. If you clicked on any links in the email, I suggest resetting your password and security questions as well as running a virus/malware scan on your device right away.
I hope this information helps!
- Meghan
