Can I dispute transactions if I have sent the money to scammers?

I purchased some items online, and the seller instructed me to pay by PayPal. They told me to send money to an email, and then due to technical reason, to another email, and the cycle repeat. Then I realized that I was scammed, because they should receive the money. I tried to dispute the transactions, but I don't see any appropriate option; everything was about account security, which is not the case here.

A friends / family (or gift payment) is intended as a transfer of funds from family or friends to one another. For this reason, there is no processing fee when payment is made with bank or PayPal balance.
However as it is a gift payment, there is also no buyer protection as no goods or services should have been exchanged.

If he was not a close mate or family member you should never use that option as it enables the seller to evade paying his Paypal fees and negates your buyer protection at the same time.

You would also not be able to open a dispute (apart from one citing an unauthorised transaction), which would be automatically closed as you did authorise the initial payment.

Be careful as using that option for purchasing goods is against Paypal rules and can lead to account limitation.

If you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will help you but unfortunately they may decline as well as it was a gift payment.

Hi @kernowlass , I used friends/family.

I used stolen card, and the dispute was denied.

Thanks @kernowlass ,

I was careless to notice the request to use friends/family option from this seller.

Scammers are convincing, good actors and their methods only improve. I yesterday made the transaction fee for something I supposedly won (scammer played the role as one youtuber who was gifting his followers). Send it as friends and family like what that even means why not we are "friends" arent we. Of course i should have known better.

I realized later the scam and indentity theft attempt so mostly lost my pride besides that 75€. Even more annoying is to read here that even that thiefs paypal name (Susan [removed]) is a  old one from here from old scams so they havent even changed that thou have changed and improved their scams.
