ONCE AGAIN RIPPED OFF BY PAYPAL!
THE BUYER CAN OPEN A CASE IMMEDIATELY AFTER BUYING AN ITEM
AND NOW THE BUYER CAN GET A FULL REFUND WITHOUT EVEN RETURNING THE ITEM
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED IN MY LAST DISPUTE CASE, I COULD NOT BELEIVE IT!
EVEN PROVIDING A TRACKING NUMBER DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT FUNDS WILL
BE RETURNED BACK TO YOU! I LOST MONEY IN MY 2ND TO LAST CASE THROUGH THEIR INABILITY TO FOLLOW A PERFECTLY GOOD TRACKING NUMBER I GAVE THEM.
CLEARLY NO COMMON SENSE IS APPLIED TO ANY OF THEIR CASE INVESTIGATIONS.
FOR THE >10% CUT THEY TAKE FROM EVERY TRANSACTION THAT IS CARRIED OUT THROUGH THEM
IS THIS REALLY A SERVICE?

Re PayPal_barry Moderator on Jul-29-2010 03:48 PM.
You state "the only circumstances where we would not ask a buyer to return the item is ........ if the item has been confirmed as a fake or counterfeit (it is illegal for someone to knowingly post fraud items).
That is exactly the case I had when I was sold a fake memory stick but paypal refused a refund.
Will you please therefore re-open the case and send me a refund.

I'm currently attempting to sell a boat on Craigslist & someone 5 states away (west coast states, not east coast county-sized states) is trying to scam me. I'm having fun with him/her. They are insisting that we use paypal only as it is safe & secure, etc. etc. etc. It's so obviously a scammer that I had to try & find out just how this person intends to rip me off. Hence, stumbling on your site. I've used Paypal zillions of times as a buyer. I'm glad to know to try & avoid it when selling. Obviously you need to button things up for the seller.

just been scammed myself too a guys opened up a case saying he's not received a parcel. ive provided a tracking number and lo and behold my paypal account is now in a negative balance to the tune of around £50 the scammers got his refund and my goods now and the case hasnt even been investigated yet. it seems that paypal are funding the various crime organisations aswell as charging ebay sellers 3 times between then on everything thats sold. i think **bleep** turpin must be investigating my case.

I never knew how much of a rip off paypal was until my recent phone purchase.... i noticed they got the exchange rate wrong by 5%, and then once the faulty phone was retuened and i got my refund from the seller (no dispute) I was short by more than $18AUD (from a purchase of $299USD)
How the **bleep** can it cost more than a bank transaction ($2 from non affiliated ATM) for any amout is beyond my **bleep**ing imagination. i demand not just an answer but MY **bleep**ING MONEY **bleep**, this is not a service but a scalping agency. No transaction occured basically, and im out of cash. when i purchased the phone, exchange rate was 0.95 now its 0.92... so i should have paid 315AUD (not 329) and should have recieved back 326AUD (not 311).
I should be $11 richer not $18 poorer, therefore PAYPAL OWES ME $29
If i do not get an email responce ill be seeking legal advice. 10% is unacceptable.

what about my case
seller sendds a fraud item with tracking number worth 5 cents in 13cm x15cm envelope , when i purchased a queen bed set for $42 , paypal pressures her so she gets time to send out the littel package so she can keep my money and say she sent the item " as she used tracking??
i sent in pics of the package , and changed dispute to not as described , so then i was told to send back the 5 cent package to china at my own cost and provide tracking , so i did that 3 days ago and now i get email sayiong case closed as tracking number wasnt found
wellhere u go it china /au tracking site
its now in china and iam out of pocket $42 plus $15 to post back item
i rang payapal twice last week and they assured me i was going to be refunded
ha ha paypal what a joke
if you bothered to look at the tracking number i sent you and the websitge you will see the item was returned to china address the fraudulant seller gave you
its a registered mail and has to be signed by her
HERE IS THE CHINA WEBSITE http://track-chinapost.com
HERE IS THE TRACKING NUMBER I PROVBIDED YOU WITH 3 DAYS AGO ,RR337748695AU
PLEASE TRACK MY RETURN ITEM AT THIS WEBSITE , THE SELLER HAS TO SIGN FOR THE ITEM AS WELL
