WHERE IS MY REFUND???????????

On October 27th, I made a purchase on Ebay and payed with PayPal. The item was out of stock.

On November 1st., The company posted a refund on paypal and it shows in the history.

It was on hold, but then showed as refunded to me on November 2nd.

I NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND!!

It is NOW December 5th.

It is PAST the 30 day period Paypal says it sometimes takes for the refund to post to my debit account.

WHERE DID MY MONEY GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered an item that was afterwards deemed out of stock. Received an email from the seller  stating my order was cancelled. My history (paypal) shows the refund and then a hold being placed on the funds 3 days ago.

1) When will the hold be released and what has to happen first?

2) If I initiate a tranfer from paypal ( showing a zero balance ) to my bank acct. while waiting on the hold to be released what will happen?

P.S. I did make another transaction and instead of "using the refunded funds", paypal transfered the entire amount of the purchase from my bank to complete the order.

The refund shows up on my PayPal transaction history but when I reviewed my debit card history this refund is no where to be found.  The seller says this is not concerning him because the refund was sent to PayPal.

Hi Carolynlee33! Welcome to the community forums!

If you go to your History and set the date back to before the original payment, you can click the plus sign next to the payment and see any associated transactions, including refunds. Is the refund showing there? Does it say that it was sent back to your card, or did it stay in your balance?

If no refund is showing attached to the payment, you can switch the view to All activity (with balance) and see all chronological activity. Did the seller possibly send you a separate payment for the refund amount?

Hello, I show a refund on my transaction page. It says the total refund is being credited back to my dedit card. It has been two days and I don't see anything under my paypal balance or a refund on my bank account or debit card. Can you let me know when and where I can expect to get my refund money? Welcome.  Once the funds are sent back to your card provider they have up to 30 days, or one full billing cycle to post the refund back to your account.  Typically it does not take this long though and I would guess you will see the credit post back within 5-7  business days.  Have a great day!!
