Refund given by merchant, Paypal put a hold on MY money.

I purchased software. I paid with the the money left in my Paypal account and my bankaccount was used for the rest. Now, the transfer from my bank account was instant. The transaction was made on Sunday and it has cleared my account.

The merchant refunded the full purchase price. Paypal has decided to put a hold on the amount it took from my bank account. Give me a break, this is MY money. Paypal has that money, but won't release it? What a crock!!!

They did the same...I'm absolutely  **bleep**...i need this money by next week....BUT NOOO PayPal **bleep**s everything up like always

So what is the solution? Is there any way to talk with someone? I need this fixed just like you do. I have never experienced anything so ridiculous. MY money, YOUR money, and Paypal keeps it for who knows how long. Grrrrrrr

Hi Magicweaver,

I'm glad you got a refund from your seller! Those funds will be released to you as soon as they fully transfer from your bank. Even though your bank has set aside those funds as having been used, the full transfer from bank to PayPal can take 3-4 business days. If the transaction was done on Sunday, I would predict that the funds should likely release by tomorrow.
