This made sense for the first few seconds. When my bank statement shows that the amount has cleared, it no longer makes sense.

I realize that this is an old thread, but I wonder if you all finally got your money. What did you have to do to get it? I'm in the same boat. The funny part is that part of the purchase was funded with my Paypal balance, the rest from my bank account. The merchant refunded the full amount two days later. Paypal decided to add the Paypal funded part back to the account. The amount funded through my bank they are holding. That is just plain !@#$. Needless to say the amount funded through the bank was received by Paypal immediately and has cleared my bank. So how dare they hold MY money?

So what is the solution? Is there any way to talk with someone? I need this fixed just like you do. I have never experienced anything so ridiculous. MY money, YOUR money, and Paypal keeps it for who knows how long. Grrrrrrr

I purchased software. I paid with the the money left in my Paypal account and my bankaccount was used for the rest. Now, the transfer from my bank account was instant. The transaction was made on Sunday and it has cleared my account. The merchant refunded the full purchase price. Paypal has decided to put a hold on the amount it took from my bank account. Give me a break, this is MY money. Paypal has that money, but won't release it? What a crock!!!
