Payment on hold until tracking number received Scam or Not?

Received an email that said it was from paypal for confirmation of payment from a buyer I sold an item to.  But it stated that the funds would not be put into my account until they received a tracking number for the shipped item.  I think this is a scam but not sure, has anyone seen this before?

ok i sent smething and the guy i sold my blackberry to asked for tracking number i sent it to him and gave him tracking number then got confirmation email from paypal i replied with my tracking number then never got my money or the email saying money has been transfered... it still says pending... i using the money to buy propose to my girlfriend did i get scammed out of all my money?

I have been waiting on this supposed email!!! My buyer told me that'd id be getting a notification asking for a tracking number, but i have yet to receive it.  How long after your transaction, did you receive your email????

This is a SCAM.

You don't want to receive the email.

There is no "transaction", it's just fraud - forget it and move on.

Yes just happen to me and I will not send the item.. First of all she over seas.... Second  offered 150 extra $$$$$$ and third  I guess its for someone else nope
