Not getting some payment notification emails

I get PayPal payments about 5-10 times a week, but there have several payments in the last few weeks for which I did not receive any email notification.  Usually I use that email to let me know that I need to ship orders, so some things were shipped late because I did not realize that they had paid until a couple of days had passed.  If checked my deleted mail, junk mail, spam-filtered mail, etc., and they're not in any of those places either.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Any advice?

Can you please tell your coworkers to stop coming on here and telling us your emails are merely in our spam filters?  Some of us (well, myself anyway) have worked in IT for over 20 years and we know how to isolate where the problem is and when *we* are not it.

For several days Paypal's e-mails notifying me that a buyer paid were delayed an hour or more after they paid and eBay had shown it as paid.  Today they are not sending them at all?  Not even on their postage paid.  What are they doing?  Really can mess up keeping records etc.

Just as a heads-up - a few different threads that were discussing the same issue have been merged by the moderators. The chronology of posts appears a little wonky for that reason, but if you look back earlier in this mishmash of threads you'll see that I've promised to update when I know more. I'm still following this matter. This is a priority, and it's being worked on. I appreciate your patience!

Ok.. so far this has worked for me, but it might just be a coincidence and may not be a fix.

 

I was having this issue for the past few weeks and  just yesterday received an email from PayPal stating that my IPN Notification web address was unresponsive. It was an old website URL that I never bothered to change since they domain name is automatically changed anyway.

 

Once I updated my IPN address I now seem to receive the Payment Received emails on time.

 

Again, it may be a coincidence that the past few emails have come through on time.

Smiley Happy I am glad that what you did was able (hopefully) to take care of your problem although most of us do not have that particular issue that keeps us from getting our notifications. I hope that our issues will soon be corrected as it seems to be an internal Pay Pay technical problem.

Olivia, thanks for the update.. it helps to know that someone is keeping us posted on what's going on!  I had 2 more come through last night as an email notification like it's supposed to and right on time. 

Don't want to get too comfortable with that just yet and will still continue to check my PayPal account (activity / payments received) just in case one has missed coming through.  At lesst on there I can click on 'details' to find out what the actual order was. 

Thankfully this is a slow time of year for us (we're semi-seasonal), so luckily I can keep on top of it, but it seems the past few days has shown some improvement and that they ARE working on it.

yes.... being kept in the loop is great.

 

Now if they could only figure out how to CLOSE the loop so the issue would go away.

 

I don't like being in infinite loops.

 

Another update would be reasonable, as it's been 24 hours since the last one don't you think?

I have the same problem, off and on and as of yet, it has not been taken care of by Pay Pal
