 At this point I would like to know if there are people that are still having problems with Payment Notifications that use Pay Pal for the normal or usual invoicing (that do not have their account tied to something else as in the above post). Has this issue been taken care of yet. I use Pay Pal sporadically for invoicing (not selling) as we are a service company. I am thinking of using it more frequently and would like to know if this problem is still on going because I think then it would be time for me to find a different company to deal with.   Thanks ... I am glad that what you did was able (hopefully) to take care of your problem although most of us do not have that particular issue that keeps us from getting our notifications. I hope that our issues will soon be corrected as it seems to be an internal Pay Pay technical problem. ... View more

I also have finally gotten (Thursday) email notification that I had received a payment, thought it was 6 hours after the payment was made. I don't under stand why people that have PayPal app on their iPhones are getting instant notifications while those of us that use regular email seem to have a delay anywhere from 2-6 hours. It is not due to a delay with my email provider because I get all of my other emails right away.   What I usually have not had a problem with receiving is the notification that I had sent an invoice but I did not get one for this payment.   I am completly confused as to why this is a problem and why it seems to be ok for a while and then the issue returns. You are no the only one that caught that. I am wondering if the feature that allows me to receive a notification that I have sent an invoice (I do get this in a timely manner) is also considered an extra feature?   Also I have noticed that the customer service person keeps talking about the technical issue with Pay Pal but also adds the part about "This cuts out the possibility of slow email delivery times…".  this has nothing  to do with the Pay Pal issue and it is something that if it is happening, we would need to deal with our own email servers.   @copMom wrote: Glad I'm not the only one that caught that!  It should be an absolute part of any of our transactions!  Not an "added" feature!  Just now, for example, I got a notice for something that I ordered online awhile ago to let me know my order has shipped!  This is only common courtesy, and we cannot do the same for our customers if we don't know they've made a payment for something they've purchased from us!  The same goes for a notice of payment received.  The fact that we are sporadically notified shows me they DO have the abiliity to do so, and have always done so in the past.  Somehow PayPal needs to put something back that they used to have .. if it ain't broke, don't fix it!  Something obviously has changed and they need to research what it was they did before and UN change whatever they did change to cause these problems1 In Friendship ~ Lauri A.
