transactions disappearing

Sometimes when I make a purchase on ebay, they remove the item, but at that point the transaction is also removed from paypal. I don't really like this. 'm not sure what to think.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!

Can I ask you if this happens while the payment is still showing as 'Pending'? If yes, it may be that you only sent an authorisation for the payment and that you initiated the order but that this was not completed. If the order is cancelled and the item removed by eBay, this could be why you would not be able to locate the payment anymore.

Ebay removed the item, I had paid for it and it had been shipped to me. I just don't think PayPal should remove a monetary transaction that has been done. If transactions that are finished (paid for) can be removed, I'm not real cool with that. Financial transactions are NOT supposed to be altered or removed after the fact.

Hi @jo007athome,

I'm sorry for any confusion. Transactions that have been carried out through your PayPal account are not removed. They remain part of your history. If you're not seeing a transaction that you made, it's possible that you made the payment as a guest, without logging in to your PayPal account, but rather by using your card at the time of payment.
