Lost card linked to PayPal, where will my refund go?

Hey there, I have a question about where the money will go after a refund?

I'm getting a refund from Best Buy for an item I bought through PayPal, with my debit card as the source of funds. However, I reported my card as lost and got a new one, and the old card is now defunct. When the refund comes through, where will the money go? Will it go into my PayPal account or be stuck in limbo?

Hello @abctab321,

Thanks for reaching out! I can understand how receiving this refund can be a bit concerning. Not to worry, normally the funds will be refunded back to the original bank / credit card account the lost / stolen credit card was attached to. Since the new card is attached to that same account, the funds will be made available on that new card.
