Complete Purchase Button failing

Hello...

I am running a community, Xenforo software. When folks purchase a site supporter - It takes them to the PayPal (PayPal url) screen to Complete the purchase. For the last 48 hours, I have had 7 people and 2 tests of my own, Where the COMPLETE PURCHASE button is not working at all to complete the purchase. It seems dead. I clicked it and clicked it and clicked it as have others and nothing.

We have no server errors, no software errors in logs, and no console errors showing when in the PayPal url to complete this. Any ideas? New issue. Never had anything like it in years. Oh, it is happening on 2 communities, have not tested the others yet.

I called Tech Support about this problem on 6/22. Two of the support people were able to replicate and verify the problem. They said to create a Merchant Technical support account at www.paypal-techsupport.com, and create an incident ticket. I did that on 6/22, and have not heard anything. If you're having this problem, and have not filed an incident ticket, you need to do so. According to their Incident History page (https://www.paypal-status.com/history/production), they have not had to fix any problems since June 13th. I don't know what's going on with these folks, but they're not getting this bug fixed.

I have created a ticket since June 24, 2023 at www.paypal-techsupport.com.

I just got a reply from the PayPal support team.

I hope everyone here to create a ticket by providing detailed information to the PayPal Technical support team, so that this problem can be resolved.

So if anyone from this thread is coming back, what can you think of that may have occurred prior to us all having this issue?  All I can think of is a recent WooComemrce update I did just the day of or day prior or so (from memory) of when this all started.  Could it be a Woo issue that introduced something?

@FormerFatGuyMy website is not using Woo Commerce. We are using a plugin called "My-ticket". I made no changes to the website before this started happening. In addition, I started having this problem the same day @LeeD, the original poster did. I'm convinced this is strictly a PayPal problem. The PayPal tech support people I spoke to on the phone appear to also feel this is their problem. I hope they fix it soon.

UPDATE: I just upgraded from the original PayPal standard (built in) to the PayPal Payments plugin for WooCommerce.  15 mins later, I'm back taking orders again.  This was a painless solution for us.

My site doesn't use WooCommerce. I cleared my browser cache and test purchases using multiple PayPal accounts, using my friends' accounts. Still not working!. When clicked, nothing happens..

2000+ customers on my site reported this issue. that means it has been test using 2000+ types of devices and browsers.

The "Complete Purchase" button only works with parameter no_shipping = '0', but does not work with no_shipping = '1'. We sell digital products do not need a shipping address, it is not ideal to use no_shipping = '0'. but we were forced to use it for a while.

We are having the same issue. I have opened several tickets and called them on so many occasions.  PayPal customer support and tech agents simply do not care. Their standard responses are are always  "we apologize, we understand, we know it is frustrating".  Just customer service BS lingo with little acknowledgement that anything is wrong and no timeline for a solution. More than 5 days of lost business and PayPal does not care.
