Third party debit card linkage

Hello

In May i discovered that a debit card was linked to my paypal account which does not belong to me. This came to light because my 8 year old son used my paypal by accident to pay for a game online. It turns out that the debit card linked to my account belongs to my mother. I have never had access to my mothers debit card and neither of us have any recollection of us adding it to my paypal. How can i find out when exactly it was added and how? Is it even possible for it to have been linked other than by me or someone with my account details? I am not sure how best to obtain this information?

Hoping someone can assist. Thank you
