Hiya, I've been getting numerous emails saying:

Notice of changes to the PayPal User Agreement.

Dear Customer,

We have recently encountered a problem in your account. Your account may get limited due violation. Please login once to review your account and get back your account to normal state

Click here to recovery your account now

sending email is: <removed>, but its hiding behind the name: <removed>

So it seems to be a scam of sorts and I actually did click on the link once. I don't know if there's anything I should do. Also, letting you guys know that this is circulating.

All the best!

If its a spoof, NEVER USE ANY LINK.

If you have then you should be ok as long as you did not enter any personal info BUT i would run a antivirus / malware scan on your computer to be on the safe side.

Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
