set aother account using the same email

Hi there I moved to another country (Germany) and I understand I need to set a new PayPal account. But why do I need to set a new email account for it as well? Would appreciate a tip here. Don't want to have another email account, don't want to use my work email. Cannot cancel my previous account. So will not use PayPal... ? Thanks for any help.

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You are supposed to withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you leave your old country. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

You won't be able to re-use an email address if its still linked to another paypal account as an email address can't identify 2 paypal accounts at the same time.
