Previously confirmed addresses now showing as unconfirmed

Hello all,

There have been quite a few topics on this issue recently so hopefully I can clear up any questions you may have on it.

Over the last week or two we have noticed an issue on customers accounts in which their previously confirmed address is now showing as unconfirmed. This is an issue we are aware of and have our engineers working to fix as soon as possible. As you can imagine, the PayPal system is very complex so we do not have a timeframe for this.

In the mean time I am sure some of you are worried about Seller Protection and how this issue impacts your coverage. In the past there was a need for a Seller to ship to a confirmed address in the Transaction Details to be covered under our Seller Protection Policy. This is now no longer needed. Shipping to a confirmed address is no longer a requirement under our Seller Protection Policy, you can post to buyer addresses in any of the 190 countries where PayPal is accepted and be covered.

Curious on this as well. Have three addresses here that are all confirmed but whenever I buy something, it shows up as unconfirmed.

I am also having the same problem and I have had a "confirmed address" ever since joining Paypal. Is there a time frame as to when this glitch will be fixed... it's very frustrating. Thank You !

There are more than a few of us being affected by this,    error.

Hey paypal Wayne - I see your post explaining that shipping to confirmed addresses is no longer necessary to enforce the protection agreements. However, when your system displays a shipping address as "unconfirmed", it has an interactive next to it that brings up the explanation. The explanation still says shipping to unconfirmed addresses does VOID the protection agreement. Could you please have someone take 30 seconds to type in correct html text????? Or are your programmers in Mumbai?????

I have had the same mailing address for 24 years and it also recently shows as unconfirmed on receipts to merchants although I have been using Paypal for at least 15 years with this same address. Over the years I have added several other addresses because I mail gifts to our three grown children and their kids from time to time and then use their addresses because they live in states across the country from me. Wish they would get this problem fixed quickly!

Me too!   What's up with this stuff....??????   This has been going on since June and I have been Confirmed for 9 years.  This is NOT acceptable.  HELLLOOOOOOOOOO

I have been confermed for a very long time. At least  years. Now it says I'm unconfirmed.

I wonder when this will get fixed. It's now July 16th.

I also have this problem with the confirmed to unconfirmed address issue. My sellers/buyers question  me about and tried to explain that it a Paypal issue. Does this happen with only Firefox browser with ghostery being used?
