A buyer will always know their sellers email address - we always display the email address the payment was sent to, just as a seller always knows which email address the payment is coming from. This allows for communication between buyer and seller in the event there is an issue with the transaction.
Naturally, spam and junk mail is a cause for concern for any individual doing business online. One solution that has worked for me in the past is to have an email address set aside specifically for this sort of thing. Add and confirm that email address on your account and have your payments sent to that email address, rather than your personal one.
