Hi there, need some advice!
I sent a payment to a company in india for a website to be made. The payment is to a gmail address. They ask for shipment approval.
Question - if I give shipment approval - does this mean I lose payment protection? Now, I have checked out the company - it exists and is physical, the name on the gmail address is the name of the guy who is the head of the company.. am 'reasonably sure its not a scam.. but just need to know the above message is not 'scam like'.
Any pointers would be helpful!
cheers,
Marc

You'll still get buyer protection. Seller has to:
1. Click Activity at the top of the page.
2. Find and click the payment transaction.
3. Click Add Tracking Info.
4. Select an order status.
Then you confirm receipt to release money:
1. Click Activity at the top of the page.
2. Find and click the payment transaction.
3. Click Confirm Receipt.
4. Click Yes to confirm.
Even if you do not confirm receipt PayPal releases funds in 21 days if you do not report a problem within that time, so seller should provide their services. It makes no real difference because you can still dispute at anytime, 180 days from date of payment.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
