Bank Account marked as 'Invalid Funding Source'

Recently, my bank account disconnected from my paypal account without my knowledge. Whenever I attempt to reconnect it, an error pops up saying: 'Funding Source marked as Invalid'. I cannot withdraw money to my bank account because of this, or place money into my paypal. My bank is a physical bank within the UK (Metro) if that helps at all.

I'm sorry to hear that the bank can't be reconnected. Typically, a bank account is disconnected if the bank sends us a response that the account is not valid. After receiving such a response, the bank would not be able to be reconnected. Please check with your bank and make sure that the information that was used to add the bank is correct. If there's a discrepancy in the information, you may be able to re-add the bank with the correct information.

If the name doesn't match on the account, that may also be a reason why the bank would be declined.
