so i noticed new competition pop up on ebay and i decide to put my store on sale to keep business flowing. 9k in sales last month and i got a little behind on orders, a few open cases from late shipping. I get a message from ebay that my account is limited and to ship my items and send them a message once thats done. 2 seconds after that i get an email from paypal saying my account is limited. i upload tracking to paypal and give them my company information since i am the manufacturer of the products i sell. a few days later i get a message that they want to part ways in a manner that wont disrupt my business. Somehow that involves locking up almost 4k in money and telling me they wont release it for 180 days. well i have 200 dollars in my pocket and bills due in a few days so i call them up and they give me a run around and that i can escalate it again so i can pay my bills and keep my family off the street. 20 minutes later and they decline it. so on top of not having my money that is rightfully mine, by them keeping the money locked up i wont be able to pay my ebay fees on top of that so i will eventually be banned from that. way to destroy a business when a stern warning would have helped me fix my errors.

my ebay account got limited and that is what triggered the limit on paypal. my credit score is in the high 500s as i just started repairing it from my younger days lol. finally financed a car and my first payment is due tomorrow.

How is it PayPal's problem that you ran your business poorly, didn't maintain a good shipping schedule, and mismanaged your finances?

PayPal has professionals and specialists managing their business as they manage funds for all users.  They have a responsibility to manage risks so they avoid losses.  When a member fails a delivery and PayPal sees other risks increasing, PayPal has an obligation to protect it's business by limiting a member.

For future you could look into local business loans or personal loans.

lol

all of the items show delivered and a few i refunded so i could sort the problem out. thats not bad business, just unexpected sales volume. also it is not money management because i have been trying to raise my release limit for 6 months and they keep it at 3k a month and the rest is 21 days later. i sold over 90 items. shipping charges alone are over 1000 dollars for that month. i told them for months that i needed my limit increased even if it was minimal any bit would help. but that never happened. i used all of my available cash to make sure orders got out so my account could be reinstated, just to be told they have hit me with a 180 day hold?

On Ebay,a buyer cannot open a case of item not received until the estimate delivery date has past, but it sound like in your case, you take on too much business you can't handle.

You would have to borrow or pawn something to pay Ebay bill, else it would suspend you for good.

Paypal CEO was just on CNBC touting how wonderful Paypal is,why dont you call him and tell him you are small business and suffering growth pain and want him to release the fund .

thats exactly what happened. they upped my limit to 40k a month so i listed all of my stuff in higher quantites and they sold like hot cakes. i got behind on orders and money was running low. just sucks they tell you to ship everything out and then appeal. just to be told you have a 180 hold on money and paypal wants to go separate ways. im not broke and trying to figure out how my bills are going to be paid but atleast most of the customers got their orders.

do you know when we sign up to use Paypal,we agree to let them check our credit rating?

They wont bother with individual sellers so called weekend warriors, but there are also many businesses selling on internet and they do pull credit report.

Do you think Paypal has done that to you, could this be a reason they refuse to raise your limit?

But to lock up your account for 180 days would kill your business, call and talk to someone higher up and explain your situation.

what is your Ebay ID,I would like to see what you made

thats Paypal way of protecting itself-180 days hold,in case your buyers file dispute or chargeback with their credit cards.
