Hi. I wanted to add funds from my bank account, but I can't because it requires additional verification. First of all, there is no way that I will give out my personal information due to all the crazy internet things out there. I don't want to give out sensitive info due to security reasons. Although adding funds from a bank account takes 3-5 days, I prefer this method because I don't know any store that sells a Moneypak card. I'm steamed that this is happening! I never had any problems before this. -___-*
I want this fixed.

So, I had this paypal account without using it for about a year, when I finally put a 50 dollar moneypak on the account. It was very easy. And then I got an email saying my account would be restricted in 2 weeks if i didnt provide "information" I tried adding a credit card, which I didnt even want to do, but this wasnt enough. Finally I found the page where they tell you what information they want. I gave them my social security number. Now they want PROOF or else my account will be restricted until I get the information. Here is what they want:
1.Your documents need to be valid and legible.
2.The submitted information on the documents must correspond with the information on your PayPal account.
3.Documents can't be older than 6 months.
4.We will handle your information in accordance with our privacy policy.
Too bad im unemployed, and just started an online business, so its VITAL that I be able to use paypal. Since ive been unemployed over 6 months, any pay stubs that had my SS# wouldn't qualify. My passport doesnt have my SS# or address on it. I got my drivers liscence suspended and dont have a car so I havent gotten it reinstated yet, so i dont have that, but even if I did, it would have my old address, because I moved. The power bills arent in my name and dont have SS# anyways. I don't have any tax reciepts.
This is RIDICULOUS. They should make the criteria a little easier, like maybe a state ID or photo ID or something. The reason people have to use services like Paypal and Greendot is because we are STRUGGLING and or YOUNG and we cant get a regular credit card/bank account to make online purchaces.
I recently had a bad experience with green dot, where I was out 200$ because it wouldnt let me register the card and I needed the money to pay a bill online then, not a refund in 2 weeks, so I tried to make the card with my friends information off her drivers liscence, but it didnt work again! so now the refund check was being sent to my friends parents house where she didnt even live anymore, i never saw that 200$ again, and the people on the phone were SO EXTREMELY RUDE, telling me I must be kidding them that I'm so stupid to try to make the card in my friends name with her permission, and I should have known something like that would happen, well sorry I was desperate to pay a bill on time and paying it online with a credit card was the fastest easiest way to pay it.
Ok I just needed to vent. I hope paypal can read this and think about stopping asking people for their social security numbers. I mean a lot of people arent even citizens of US and don't have SS# and these are the very people that depend on services like greendot and paypal

I have the exact same issue! I am overly irritated and I just want to close my paypal now, but I can't since I have to first "resolve the issue and give more information so we can make your experience on PayPal better". Paypal is seriously just **bleep**ing us over, forcing us to do things and changing stuff that we weren't signing up for! All I want to do is close my paypal now, and never use paypal again, but I don't see that happening. They even had the audacity to send me a "What's the problem?" email, asking why I was taking so long to resolve the problem. Here's the answer, because I can't! If paypal would just read the dang emails I sent them. Geez.

Everything used to be great when I could find those ebay giftcards, but they seem to be gone. So, I saw this greendot money pack and thought I would give it a try. Well it has been five hours and it will not verify my address. it just has those green dot spinning around. Next time I will just use those greendot debit cards that you can load money on. They have a special that there is no loading fee so if you want to load fifty bucks...it is only fifty bucks with no 3.95 or 4.95 fees. I did that three weeks ago and I just had to register the card on the card's website, then added the card to my paypal list of credit cards and it worked. i should have just done that again but thought i would try this and it **bleep**..I have several auctions i wanted to pay for today but alas it just spins away.....

Where do you get the money pak debit card at? All I've seen in Walmart is just a green dot money pak card...I don't even remember seeing whether it said credit or debit. I know I used them on paypal awhile back..a good while back. I was limited to using only $80.00 though. Once I reached that limit, they would not let me use it anymore. Maybe that was considered a debit card then? I have something I need to pay for tomorrow via paypal, and I will apparently have to use a moneypak card. I'm just hoping I will be able to use it for the full amount, which is close to 150.00! If not I'm out of luck ;/ And paypal has me so messed up I can't use my Bill Me later account now. Not sure what happened. And I agree, they should not be asking for our SS #'s ... if so, then should only use the last 4 digits or something...even dr's offices are always insisting on our SS#'s! and that **bleep** ;/.
I know it says the limit is anywhere from 300 to 10,000, but I think that's if you get a regular money pak credit card from them (which I've been told they charge a fee each month for that so I won't do that). I've only ever just used the cardboard card I bought at walmart, loaded it onto paypal and used it till it was gone. I went back once and bought another..tried to reload the one I'd first bought but it wouldn't reload. Loaded the 2nd one in to paypal and it worked fine...but then I got the notice that that was the limit..80 bucks...couldn't use it again. Does anyone know if it's still that way?

Hello, Has anyone had a problem adding money to paypal via green dot/money pak? My problem: in the process of adding money from the card, I am asked some personal info. After adding it & clicking continue, it automatically disregards the address i fill in, and picks up a different address. Instead of "Smith St, Springfield, Ill" for example, it is picking up the address of "Smith Rd" and then adding the city in which I bought the card; not the outlying city in which i actually live. I cannot get past this glitch, and they seem oblivious when I tried calling the moneypak phone #. If ths is happening to me it must be happening to lots of other people, and someone should recognize and address the error. Any suggestions? Not fair that I cannot use this option for funding my paypal account, and not right that moneypak will not attempt to fix the problem...The address that is on my paypal account has been verified and is correct. Also, is there any other options for an instant transfer? I do have a debit card linked, but i don't see an option for an instant payment from that to my paypal account; atleast not before i actually purchase an item...Please help with any advise. Thank you!

this is such bull**bleep**...i enter all the correct info and it just hangs there trying to verify my address....I called greendot and they say all is fine and blame paypal. i call paypal and they say all my info is correct and blame greendot. They will not call each other and figure this out. I call again and just got the run around. i have tried 22 times to load from my moneypak card and watch the little green dots spin for hours to no avail. AND there is no help.....
