i sold something on ebay and now paypal thinks they have the right to hold my money for 21 days????
WHERE DOES IT SAY THIS ANYWHERE IN THE SIGN UP PROCESS???
i figured signing up for paypal would INCREASE the speed with which i get my money....instead its 6-7 times SLOWER. how am i supposed to send out my item IF I DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR 21 DAYS??? how the **bleep** is my ebay acct supposed to stay in good staning with <removed> rules like this.
i feel completely scammed. ill never use this garbage company again. ill be deleting my acct, not sending out the ebay item because if i do and 21 days from now paypal decides to pull some more BS and i dont get my money ill be out my item too.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY ZERO ADVANTAGE TO ADDING PAYPAL TO ANYTHING.
i was literally BETTER off without it. id have my money and the item would be shipped by now. instead of that, im **bleep**. thanks paypal. youre geniuses.

the lesson learned here is: it is MORE advantageous to keep paypal FAR from your ebay account. they will keep your money, you have to send the item out of pocket and pray 21 days from now paypal doesnt pull some other **bleep** and deny your money anyway.
paypal logic: your ebay acct only has 5 ratings, all of them good. but until your account gets better we are keeping any money you make and you must send out the item from your own wallet. if you dont have the money to do that then your ebay acct is **bleep**...meaning it will never get better if paypal has anything to say about it.
im RAGING right now. i could have gotten a **bleep** momney order by now and this whole thing would be done.
instead, i messed up and signed up for paypal. HORRIBLE DECISION. i was 100% better off without it.

The part about paying for shipping out of your pocket is half true. eBay will release some of the money for shipping up to a certain amount. Read the eBay seller terms on the process on how to release the money for shipment. PayPal and eBay have split up as companies. The 21 day hold Has been in effect for while and if you read the eBay terms you would know about this hold and be prepared for it. But right now those are the terms. You can leave it and not use PayPal or eBay. There is a reason for the hold, in case your buyer files disputes/chargeback.

You should also read eBay's terms and conditions as they require the hold for newer sellers.

no i shouldnt have to hunt down <removed> rules that shouldnt exist. they want my acct to be better but keep my money from me disabling my ability to send the item out and therefore making my ebay account worse. the lack of logic is staggering.

i went by what paypal advertises. i didnt know i had to read a books length of rules that make no sense spread out over 6 million links and 2 different sites just to complete ONE SIMPLE TRANSACTION.
hey paypal, try advetising that and see how well you do.
ill never have anything good to say about paypal. this experience was a disaster. i cant imagine any situation where someone would be better off with it. just use your card or your bank or a money order. its safer, faster and you wont feel like you got tricked and blindsided by rules that make absolutely no sense.
so thanks for the negative strike that will be coming on my ebay acct.

The 21 days is more Ebay than Paypal, not just for new sellers ,but also old sellers who have been away for sometime and sellers who sell low priced items and all of a sudden come up with one or two high ticket items.
But Ebay will release up to $15 for shipping.
if you need money sooner, consider selling elsewhere like Craigslist and accept non credit card payment
