I had payments come out my bank yesterday for PayPal payments but I had insufficient funds in there, they were reversed by my bank but nothing else has happened yet and PayPal isn’t showing a negative balance at the moment. I also have more PayPal payments coming out today and I still don’t have funds in my bank. What will happen now? I’m worried they will take money from my partners card as his was on there.

So you withdrew some money from your PayPal account to your bank account and it hadn't reached your bank account yet? And in the meantime you have more PayPal purchases/transactions that are to be paid by bank account ? Or you just don't have any funds in your bank account and worried what's going to happen since you have no funds in there?

Add funds asap to your bank account because typically PayPal will make up to 2 more attempts, in the space of 6 days, at representing payment at your bank if they still can't get funds, then your PayPal balance will be in the negative or your credit card will be charged. This will happen for each transaction paid by bank account, backed by credit card. But if your bank keeps reversing the payments, PayPal will eventually tap your partner's card.

Don't add someone else's bank account or card to your PayPal account. Your partner can very well dispute those charges and put your account in a big mess unless you let partner know that there'll be some charges on the card.
