Can I order from a company, use PayPal for payment and have the item(s) shipped to a different address?  Item is a gift.

You would need to add a gift address to your paypal account first and then select that address during checkout when you purchase the item.

You can't add an international address though.

This isn't really a very practical solution unless you are only gong to do this once or twice. The problem is that when I fill out a form at an online, retailer I give both a shipping address and a billing address. The problem is that the shipping address is overridden by PayPal. It should not be.

Bottom line; how do people deal with this at Xmas if they are buying many gifts and want them to be sent directly to the recipient? Do people seriously add a whole bunch of shipping addresses to their account for that?

Maybe a simpler option would be for PayPal to add a button when paying on a case by case basis. Something like "Ignore primary shipping address".
