can I add a sub business to my business account with its own alias and visible name?

I have a business account with a business name visible to clients. I would like to add a second sub business with its own email and its own visible name to my account. Is that possible?

I understand your concern about adding sub business. Unfortunately, there is no such option to add a sub business to an existing PayPal account. If it's a new or a different business completely, you may have to create a new account for this, with its own business details.
