Why my Citizen got changed from Malaysia to United Stats after a month using and receiving money?

I'm registering my PayPal account from my country, Malaysia. My citizen is Malaysia. After a month of using my account and receiving money in my PayPal account, I can't withdraw the money. It is because the Citizen in my account is not Malaysia anymore. I don't know how it changed to United States (US). So, the problem is, the citizen cannot be changed, and the money cannot be withdrawn. Any solution for this? Thank you in advance.

You can't change a paypal account from one country to another so you must have opened a U.S paypal account.

User mohd_ariffin99: United States Personal Account

Go to the settings cog next to log out and check what NATIONALITY is showing on the left side of that page, is it for your country or not?

When you click to register a paypal account there is a drop down list of countries with U.S being the default top option as Paypal is a U.S company.
You then have to scroll down and click on your own country to open the correct Paypal account for that country.

You can't use another countries Paypal account as it would never work properly and may be limited.

If you have opened a U.S paypal account by mistake then you need to remove anything you have added and close it (if you can) and then open one for the correct country you are in.
Paypal is country specific and differs a lot country to country.

Nothing you can do to get the funds. The 'sender' however may be able to open a dispute to get their money back and then pay you again to a correctly opened account in your own country?
