Phone number changed - can't log in

My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile. 

Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.

I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.

Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.

Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.

Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!

Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

I wasn't using PayPal for ages. So I had forgotten the password, I just recovered my password through recovery process but when I try to log in with newly changed password it asked me for mobile verification code. I have no access to that mobile number too. Now is there anyway to change mobile number at this stage?

All of a sudden they are asking for a confirmation through an old phone number that I don't use anymore and don't have access to. I can't seem to change the number, as I can't log in, and seems like there's no other way to confirm the log in. What should I do?

Hei, if I want to log in to verity myself i need to use my phone, but I got new phone with new number and I cant get log in, email and password is correct but problem is with phone number which is old.

I can not get into my account as the mobile number it is linked to, I no longer have access though. I have tried to phone but they hang up on me, I can not email because I can't get into my account and I have tried to go through the app but IT WILL NOT WORK !! I have money in my account I need but I can not access !! I NEED HELP

It is so frustrating because er can't change the number, we can't email them, it is automated Facebook and Twitter and there is no number to phone to talk to a human !

there are phone numbers to contact them... but every time people put them here to help people like us... PP removes the numbers almost instantly..... SO THEY DO NOT WANT TO HELP CUSTOMERS!!

This is my second account, and Im posting on it because my main account is locked to my old phone number, and I can’t get into the account, neither write to the paypal people. Please tell me what to do or who to speak to for getting this fixed!

Dear, 

long time ago I started my account and I do not use it too frequently. I have changed my phone number. But now, when I want to log on, it tells me that it has to be checked whether it is really me. Even the name (email) and password is OK. But it tells, that it will send code to my old non existing mobile and does not allow me to use other way of check. I also do not remember the safety questions, which I used. I want to close my account, but I can't reach it. Can you , please help me? Is there any other way of changing mobile phone for example?
