To upgrade click on settings next to log out and the upgrade option is on the left of that page.

To downgrade..........

There is no automatic way to downgrade a business account to a personal account, you have to contact customer services and they will do that for you.

Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

OR
You could just close your business account (removing all subscriptions / financial info etc first) and open a personal one.

Hello all, I joined paypal as a new business account member a few days ago. I created it as a business account by mistake and now I wish to turn it to personal account. Is this possible? Or should I delete my account and create a new one that is personal?

Your account is already a personal account.

If you are talking about another account that is a business account then you can't downgrade that one to a personal account as well because you are only allowed x2 paypal accounts if x1 is personal and the other x1 is a business account.

I was referring to the same account, and I only have one.

Also, I just checked, it's a Business account as I do not have the option to "upgrade to a Business type" in the settings.
