Hello PayPal Community,

I'm the treasurer for a small non-profit club.  We'd like to use PalPal to help us collect our annual membership dues.  Our president created a business PayPal account for this purpose.  While inside this business account, she invited me to setup an account profile.  This invite e-mail went to the treasurer e-mail account (not my personal e-mail).  I subject of this message was:

Set up your account provide - XXXXXXXXXXXX, youve been added to the YYYYYYYYYYYYY account

XXXXXXXXX - the user ID that was created for this profile

YYYYYYYYY - the name of the PalPal account for the club

I clicked on the "Set Up Your Profile" link in the e-mail.   A 6-digit verfication code was sent to the treasurer e-mail.   In entered the 6 digit code and a new password for this account profile.   This took me to an error page (see screen shot below).   If tried this multiple time and get the same error message.  I've searched for this error message on the PayPal help site and in this community forum and didn't see results that match my issue.

Any guideance on this specific issue or how to learn more about what I'm trying to setup are appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi @noob-2022,

Welcome to the PayPla Community and thank you for your post!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing these issues. I know it must be frustrating. When setting up a profile on a business account, you would have been asked to enter the email address of the user you want to add. An email would then have been sent to that email you provided, not the account email.

I would suggest you start again, and make sure you are entering the email address of the user you want to add. If you do this, and the email is still being sent to the primary account email, you could be experiencing a technical issue.

If this is the case, I would suggest you contact our Customer Support for further assistance. To contact us, simply click here. Alternatively, you can contact us via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/PayPal or Twitter @AskPayPal.

I hope this helps!

If you've tried to link your credit or debit card to your PayPal account, but received an error message, it may be because:

The billing address you've entered for your PayPal account is different than the one on your card statement.
What to do: Check your card statement to ensure both addresses match. If you are sure you've entered the information correctly, please call the card company to find out what they have on file. Sometimes, after a recent move, the information may take longer to be updated.

A card can only be linked to one PayPal account at a time.
What to do: If your card is added to another PayPal account, remove it and then add it to your new one.

Your card company did not accept the $1.00 authorization sent by PayPal when you attempted to add the card.
What to do: Call your card company to find out why they are rejecting the authorization from PayPal. After they resolve the issue, try adding your card again.

You linked your card to your PayPal account, but entered the card security code (CSC) incorrectly 3 times.
What to do: Call us. We can help you to finish linking your card. We may ask you to provide some additional information.

You have 24 linked cards on your account.
What to do: Remove at least one credit card from your account. You can only have 24 linked cards on your account at once.

Greeting,

Will Joe
