Log in without mobile phone

I cannot log into my account without providing a mobile phone number. I have no mobile phone. I spoke with tech support

and they said they would set up my account to that no mobile phone needed. They said wait for 24 hours.  But there is no

change after 30 hours.

Thank you for visiting the PayPal Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear you're unable to login to your account as you do not have your phone number. I'd first recommend reviewing the troubleshooting steps in the following Help Center articles: What can I do if I can't log in? and I forgot my password. How do I reset it?  

  

Also, in the future, if you do not want to run into this issue, you can turn off this feature of two-step authentication. If you're still running into issues after that, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support teams by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Thank you for the reply, but it was not of help. The troubleshooting steps  did not reference a lack of mobile phone.  I cannot do two-step authentication because I do not run MS Windows nor do I have a Google account. But I found out that I need only click "not now" when prompted for a mobile phone number.
