Can I keep my email address when I move abroad?

Hello, I will move from Germany to USA.

Currently, I have a German PayPal account. 

As far as I understand, I will need to close my German PayPal account, and open a new PayPal account in the USA.

Is it possible to keep my current German email address when registering a new PayPal account in the USA?

It is possible but to be on the safe side, you can add a dummy email address as the new primary email address for the German account first, remove the email address you want to use on the US account, then close the German account.
