Account Management - Verification Fiasco

I have set up my account through paypal without a hitch, and realised that I need to verify my account.

Followed procedure, waited for the bank transactions, clicked on verify acccount again.

Message pops up saying "this account is already in use"

I try again, wait for another transaction to happen, and with the same error message.

Im not trying to ADD a bank account, Im trying to verify the one I already have on there!

This is very frustrating, and everything I try, the confounded error message pops up!

Hey there Gothis_creature,

 

From what you’re saying you have received the two random amounts from your bank statement and you are trying to enter them

 

PayPal is introducing a new profile layout so here’s how to enter the random deposits for both profiles.  Are you following these steps? And if so after what step is the error coming up in?

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘Bank Accounts’ under ‘Financial Information’. (Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)
  4. Click ‘Confirm’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.
  5. Enter the exact amounts of the 2 deposits made to your account, then click ‘Submit’.

Or

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click 'My money'.
  4. Click ‘Unconfirmed’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.
  5. Enter the exact amounts of the 2 deposits made to your account, then click ‘Submit’.

Thats just the thing though

Those menu options which you sent me DO NOT EXIST!

I have tried both ways you sent me, gone to PROFILE, and Bank accounts the only one there is is ADD bank accounts, which I am not after.

Please see the cut out screen shot I took of the PROFILE menu

 

Other than that I am still stuck with my original problem!

You seem to be hovering over profile.

 

You need to click it and let the next page load Smiley Happy

I am having this same problem. I have recieved the two payments, but cannot progress beyond this point.

 

  1. Log in to your account at www.paypal.co.uk
  2. Click 'Profile' at the top of the page.
  3. Click 'Bank Accounts' in the 'Financial Information' column.
  4. Select the bank account you wish to confirm and click 'Confirm'. (Don’t see this step? Follow the alternative set of instructions below.)
  5. Enter the two amounts.
  6. Click 'Submit'. If the amounts are correct, your bank account will be confirmed.

This does not work because at step four there is no option for me to select the bank account. It simply takes me to the page "Add a bank/building society account..."

 

 

Or

  1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk
  2. In the ‘To Do’ box, select ‘Complete bank setup’ and follow the instructions.

"Complete bank setup" does not appear in the "To Do" box.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK silly me! didnt click on the menu item

 

Anyway clicked on menu Item followed instructions, filled in the various parts to the information, clicked add bank account and this message pops up

Now I dont have another paypal account, just tthe one which I am currently using, and this is getting beyind a joke now! even with the help from you guys I am still getting the same problems

What does the error message say? Its all blurred. Smiley Sad

 

Inigo_Montoya, are you clicking on profile and waiting for the next page to load? Please don't click on the drop down menu as it will bring you to the Add a bank/building society section.

 

If you cant get it contact PayPal and they will manually enter the codes for you.

Well, I tried it again, and the same problem happened, its still asking me to add a bank account when I already have a bank account listed!

 
Please could you guys sort this verification out for me. All I want is for the 21 day sanction on incoming transactions to be lifted. If this cannot be done then I will take my services elsewhere
